Dream Along With Mickey, Daytime Fireworks – David Punch

I love the shows at Disney. No really… I LOVE the shows at Disney. I have the soundtracks to the parades, the fireworks, and the different area music on my phone. It’s a sickness. I know.
That being said. I usually stop in my tracks to watch the same shows with the same enthusiasm every time I can.
But with photography, I try to make it look new and different. Like with this angle. Shooting from the bridge near the wishing well, I grabbed a few shots of the daytime fireworks just as the sky was getting dark. The contrast of the fireworks on the castle was a huge help in lighting what was already in shadow.
Settings for this one were ISO 100, f/9 at 1/250. I was in aperture priority because of the fast changing light.

I'm from New Orleans, LA. My full time job is as the Entertainment Director for the Cats Meow, a well known karaoke nightclub on Bourbon Street. As an entertainer myself, I gravitate towards creative outlets. I do graphic design, photography, I sing, and perform as a club and mobile DJ. As my photography business grows, I find myself booking more photo gigs and less DJ gigs. Which is great, because a camera bag is WAY easier to move than a trailer full of speakers and dance lights.
