Contemplative Cinderella

Recently I have been fond of converting my Disney images to Black & White. Not every image works with this processing but finding the right one is part of the fun for me. Some I know will be converted when I capture but others I find when reviewing my backlog. I think every photographer captures the Cinderella statue behind the castle so the challenge is to find new angles or interesting views.

In the summer of 2011 I decided I wanted to learn more about ‘taking pictures’ so I could create better images of my other obsession, Walt Disney World. Those initial steps where the beginning of a journey into the world of photography that has been a very satisfying addition to my world. I never dreamed that my desire to know more about my old point & shoot camera would lead to an activity that I enjoy so completely, even as I fumble through learning about exposure, composition, equipment and software. It has become a creative outlet for a technical ‘geek’ who thought his best creative moments were writing code and solving manufacturing problems. If you would like to see more of my images take a look at my photography blog (http://picproj2722.wordpress.com) or my flickr profile (http://www.flickr.com/photos/rocket2722). I have recently created a photography portfolio which is still in its infancy. Stop by at http://mlcreationsphotography.zenfolio.com and leave a comment.
