Toy Soldiers on Parade at Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party ~ Joanie Eddis-Koch
Count on reserving a prime picture taking spot around 2 hours before the parade starts at Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. Remember to bring some friends, preferably ones who can keep you entertained and bring you treats as you defend your spot from the last minute interlopers.
This shot was captured with a Nikon D4, which is the preferred camera of Toy Soldiers everywhere. The ISO was at 5600 and shutter speed was set to 1/200 of a second. The lens used was a Nikon 24-70 f 2.8 lens set to 70mm and f 2.8. Metering was set to spot because the lighting is wonky at these parades. When you are depending on ambient light to shoot these parades you want to meter for the character faces and not at all for the blown out lighting on the building facades.
