Classic Snowflake- Rich Martin
I think parade pictures are a mixture of right place, right time and lots of good fortune. I usually look for a spot where the parade route curves so you can get photos of the parade moving towards you. Even more important is to be aware of where the parade lights are. In this image I was fortunate to have the Snowflakes skate to a stop right in front on my camera with back lighting from the parade lights. Sadly this was my last photo of a classic roller skating Snowflake in the Christmas Fantasy Parade as the Snowflake costumes my family had come to love each year have changed. Nikon D300. f 2.8 at 1/80. No flash. Adjustments in Lightroom.
