Mickey Balloons – Sean Spansel

I don’t care how many times I visit Disney properties, I am always drawn to the Mickey Mouse shaped balloons that take residence on Main St.  Even better than the hundreds of balloons carried by a cast member in the parks, are the “abandoned” balloons you find at random areas in the park (majority tied to strollers).  While walking through fantasyland, I ran across these two buddies hanging in the stroller parking behind the Carousel.  It was January, cold, windy…so you can imagine the attempts it took to get a shot with one of them facing me.  In a perfect world, I would have both, but sometimes (ok, most of the time) you have to take what you can get.  These guys, along with the background bokeh of the Carousel, creates a great image.  I’m glad I got a chance to meet these abandoned buddies 🙂

My name is Sean and have been shooting for a little over 5 years, since 2010. I'm what you would call a Disney fanatic, borderline addict. Ok, I am an addict. Mix my hobby with my addiction and this is what you get, a Disney Photographer (or so I'd like to think I am, even though I live 653 miles away). I wish I could get to the parks more often, but living in New Orleans, it's not always that easy.
