Illumminations from China Pavilion Shot by Aunesty Janssen-Reikofski

Illuminations from China ~ Aunesty Reikofski

I have a goal to photograph Epcot’s Illuminations of Earth from every “spot” around World Showcase and Future World, so today’s shot is my conquering of another country, China.  Now shooting Illuminations from inside China is not the easiest.  I arrived 30 minutes before the show was to begin and scouted at least ten different locations before finally ending up where I shot from.

After taking a few foreground shots, I put on my ND4 and adjusted my camera settings to an ISO of 200, and an aperture of f/13 and waited for Illuminations to begin.  During the show I had to play with my settings a few times, as I didn’t realize how dark it really got back there.  All in all I walked away with three shots that I am very happy with.  Especially this one, as it is the opening sequence, and a shot I don’t typically get to turn out well.  I hope you enjoy.

You can see more of my Illuminations Shots on my Visual Guide of where to shoot Illuminations or more of all my photographs through my social media channels:
