During a meetup with the usual local Disneyland shutterbugs a few weeks ago, it was time for fireworks, so I decided to head to my favorite spot above the lagoon for a shot I had never attempted before. The lagoon, yes, many times…subs, monorails and all, but never with fireworks too…

This photo was from my last view of Disneyland’s Main Street, about six years ago. I am definitely overdue for another trip! The area was actually a bit more crowded that it looks here, but the people were usually moving quickly enough to become invisible due to the slightly long (2.5 seconds) exposure.

Disneyland’s Partners statue is one of those sights I cannot pass by without snapping a few photos of every time I am in the parks. My favorite time in particular is during the springtime when the beautiful pink blossoms in the trees framing the central hub are in full bloom. On a perfect spring day, […]

Many agree that there is something about the sun setting over Disney World that makes everything just so much more stunning. I took this shot one day as I was walking around and was feeling a bit drained creatively after a long few days of shooting. I looked across the river and saw the sun […]

Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival is an annual event held each spring at Epcot theme park at Walt Disney World Resort. All over the park there are stunning topiaries. Part on the United Kingdom pavilion has the characters of Peter Pan. On this day it was very overcast which allowed to take images without the harsh shadows from the sun […]

Discoveryland is Disneyland Paris’ version of Tomorrowland. It has a completely different look as the Disney Imagineers used the ideas and concepts of famous European thinkers such as Jules Verne. Showcasing the retro-futuristic themes are the Orbitron and Space Mountain: Mission 2. This is a single 2.5 second exposure taken to bring out the motion […]

This is a 9 exposure HDR shot processed in Photomatix. Using a tripod situated on the outdoor balcony above the Mitsukoshi Department Store, I captured this image on a breezy evening while waiting for Illuminations to start. I had to time my exposures carefully to avoid pedestrians who were crossing in the bottom half of […]
